Ursa Major has completed a milestone phase of its manufacturing and scaling plan, marking a decisive step in the company’s transition from a propulsion-focused innovator to a prime contractor delivering affordable, advanced weapons systems at scale. With expanded machining and additive production capacity now online, a newly activated solid rocket motor test site, and investments in vehicle integration and assembly, Ursa Major is scaling production to meet urgent national defense demand.

“Ursa Major was built to solve one of the hardest problems in defense: delivering high-performance systems at scale and at a price the warfighter can actually use,” said Chris Spagnoletti, CEO of Ursa Major. “With this phase complete, we’re producing the propulsion, the vehicle systems, and the infrastructure needed to deliver real capability, on timelines that matter.”

Facility expansions across Ursa Major’s sites are increasing production capacity, enabling full-system integration, and expanding test infrastructure:

Berthoud, Colorado:

  • More than doubled multi-axis machining capacity, driving a 200%+ increase in expected 2026 throughput
  • Nearly tripled machine shop footprint to support high-rate component production and strengthen domestic supply chains
  • Expanding vehicle assembly and integration capabilities, enabling production of complete all-up rounds
  • Added an ISO certified clean room for in-space propulsion systems

Galeton, Colorado:

  • Activated the first test stand at its 400-acre SRM site, now executing static fires of large motors and expanding qualification capacity for missile programs

Youngstown, Ohio:

  • Expanded additive manufacturing operations 10x with six advanced systems, increasing print speeds up to 8x and enabling flexible, high-rate production
  • Reduced pre-processing timelines from weeks to hours, enabling rapid iteration and scalable production without retooling

Backed by more than $300 million in capital and a vertically integrated production model, Ursa Major is on track to produce both complete missile systems and the propulsion technologies that power them, across hypersonics, solid missile systems, and in-space propulsion architectures, at the scale and pace required to meet evolving threats.

As global demand for advanced munitions accelerates and U.S. inventories remain under pressure, Ursa Major is scaling the industrial capability required to respond, delivering affordable hypersonic and missile systems in the timelines and volumes the warfighter demands.
