Ursa Major Achieves Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 Final Status

DENVER – June 18th, 2026 – Ursa Major has received Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 Final Status following an assessment by a CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization. This certification highlights Ursa Major’s ability to continue executing on mission-critical defense programs and reinforces its position as a trusted, secure partner for government and commercial clients.
“Securing CMMC Level 2 Certification status defines the standard for how Ursa Major will scale,” said Kyle Follansbee, Head of Cybersecurity and ISSM at Ursa Major. “This accomplishment reflects the collective commitment to security across our organization, further cementing our reputation for excellence and trustworthiness with our partners.”
CMMC is designed to raise cybersecurity standards across the defense industrial base and ensure contractors protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). As of 2026, all defense contracts that involve CUI will require CMMC Level 2 certification. Ursa Major is now part of a discrete, highly vetted group of suppliers ready to meet the federal government’s most stringent cybersecurity standards.
This credential further enables our role in leading hypersonic missile development, with the HAVOC missile system, and advancing solid rocket motor and space mobility system production, by affirming that our customer and partner data is protected by mature, independently audited controls, and reinforces our readiness to deliver game-changing aerospace and defense technologies at the speed, scale, and rigor the warfighter needs.
