Talent Acquisition Specialist (Contract)

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in attracting and selecting top talent to support our company’s growth objectives. Your primary focus will be to own the coordination, scheduling, and communication with candidates and hiring teams throughout the interview process. In this position, you will collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition Partners, hiring managers, and HR business partners to understand our talent needs and support the end-to-end recruitment process. The ideal candidate will have experience in talent acquisition (or similar) and a passion for identifying and engaging with top talent.

This role will be a 3-6 month contract, exempt position with the potential to become full-time based on business needs. Our hope is for this TA Partner to be on-site at least 3 days a week with the flexibility to work from home the remaining days.    

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with coordinating and scheduling interviews throughout the entire process. 
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers (HMs) and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to understand talent requirements, job descriptions, and qualifications for various positions within the organization. 
  • Review resumes and applications, screen candidates, and conduct initial interviews to assess their qualifications, skills, and cultural fit. 
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline by proactively sourcing and engaging with passive candidates. 
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers in the selection and decision-making process. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions, feedback, and progress in the applicant tracking system (ATS). 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and share insights with the team. 
  • Leverage recruitment tools and technology to streamline and optimize the recruitment process.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience managing calendars and coordinating meetings.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software. 

Desired Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • 1+ years of technical recruiting work experience. 
  • Previous time recruiting for aerospace roles. 
  • Strong competitive market awareness.
  • Experience with Greenhouse is strongly preferred.
  • An understanding of unconscious bias and how to implement and improve Ursa’s inclusion efforts. 

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $56,000- $71,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we are evaluating individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
